Elephants are gregarious, intelligent animals that rarely harm people unless provoked or threatened. A recent sighting of an angry elephant racing ferociously toward a jeep in a safari area. Saket Badola, an employee of the Indian Forest Service (IFS), posted the footage on Twitter. With over 125k views, it has become popular.

An elephant could be seen in the video chasing a jeep carrying visitors down a safari park road. The elephant charged at the jeep aggressively, allegedly because the tourists were passing through its domain and it felt endangered, forcing the driver to swiftly reverse the vehicle.

The elephant could be heard trumpeting fiercely and then turning back into the forest when the automobile pulled up to a safe distance. When the jeep halted, the individual recording the video displayed the terrified looks on the visitors’ faces as they believed they were about to be attacked.

“Credits to the driver for his skills and keeping his cool. Not an easy situation to be in. However, authorities should investigate the reason behind the elephant’s irritation,” the IFS officer tweeted along with the footage.

Users on Twitter were curious as to what caused the elephant to act in such an aggressive manner. Some users suggested reducing the quantity of these trips.
