Robert Irwin has danced his way into history, winning Season 34 of Dancing with the Stars, cementing his status not only as a young Australian conservationist and TV personality but now also as a dancing sensation.
The 20-year-old received glowing congratulations from fans worldwide, including Prince William and Kate Middleton, who left heartfelt messages: “Congratulations Robert and Witney!”
Earlier this month, Prince William had made a surprise virtual appearance on DWTS to cheer Irwin ahead of the finale, highlighting his support for the rising star.
In the video, the future king playfully remarked on missing Irwin at the annual Earthshot Prize in Brazil, adding a lighthearted note for professional partner Witney Carson, which left her visibly starstruck.
Sharing his win on Instagram, Irwin expressed immense gratitude to Witney Carson for her guidance and support throughout the journey, calling it a dream come true and a full-circle moment, as his sister Bindi had won the Mirrorball Trophy ten years ago, and Witney herself eleven years ago.
He also thanked his family for traveling from Australia to support him, fellow contestants, the show’s crew, and fans around the world for their encouragement.
Representing his charity, Wildlife Warriors, throughout the competition, Irwin reflected on the inspiration, positivity, and lifelong lessons he gained from the experience.
