Karachi, Hyderabad, and Sukkur are expected to receive rainfall on August 10 and 11, according to the Flood Forecasting Division of the Pakistan Meteorological Department.

South Baluchistan, and South Punjab are expected to have heavy rain.

The rain is expected just before Eid-ul-Adha.

Pakistan will celebrate Eid on August 12.

Pakistan’s government has announced four holidays for Eid-ul-Adha from August 12 to August 15.

The four days from Monday to Thursday have been declared public holidays.

The notification said that Saturday, August 17, will be a working day.

But, latest weather advisory has forecast downpours in several parts of Pakistani due to low pressure system.

According to the report, a low pressure system has formed over north which is likely to move westward and reach Indian Rajasthan on evening/night of August 8.

This system is likely to produce widespread rains with scattered heavy falls, in Sindh from evening/night of August 9 and on August 10, 11 in Karachi.

Eid-ul-Adha is celebrated to commemorate the sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim (AS).

In line with the tradition of Prophet Ibrahim (AS), Muslims across the world slaughter animals as a sacrifice for Allah.

The meat of sacrificed animals is distributed among relatives and the poor.
