Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted a heatwave in Karachi starting from today  till May 8 (Friday).

As per details, the weather department said the temperature is expected to go up to 42 degrees Celsius during the coming days due to change in weather conditions that will suspend the sea breeze towards the port city.

the Sindh government has imposed an emergency in all hospitals across the province, keeping in view the heatwave and a thunderstorm alert issued by the Pakistan Meteorological Department.

As per details, the Sindh Health Minister Dr Azra Fazal Pechuho has asked authorities to establish special wards for heatstroke cases.

On the other hand Mainly dry weather is expected in most parts of the country during the next twelve hours.

However, wind/rain-thunderstorm is expected in Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, Upper Punjab, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. Hailstorm is also expected at isolated places during the period.

Islamabad and Muzaffarabad 15, 

Lahore 24,

Karachi 29,

Peshawar 19.

Gilgit 13 and Murree 20 degree centigrade.
