• Weather to remain cold in Karachi in next 24 hours
• Mercury is expected to drop to 10-12 degrees
• Balochistan is also braving heavy snowfall

KARACHI; The citizens of the metropolitan city have to brave severe cold weather for another 24 hours as the temperature is expected to drop today as well at night.

The meteorological department has said that the winds will keep blowing in the city and the mercury will drop to 10-12 degrees Celsius in Karachi.

On the other hand, the weather in Balochistan has paralyzed life as the province is braving heavy snowfall this winter.

Quetta, Ziarat and other areas of northern Balochistan have been experiencing heavy snowfall.

Keeping the situation in view, an emergency has been declared in all snow and rains affected areas of Balochistan.

Meanwhile, frost is likely to occur over plain areas of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, upper Sindh, Pothohar region and Kashmir during morning hours.

Landslides in Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan may also occur.
