Islamabad: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted widespread cold and dry conditions across the country.
Mountainous areas are expected to experience severe cold during mornings and nights, with further drops in night temperatures anticipated over the next two days.
Northern and mountainous regions Kashmir will remain cold and dry, with frigid mornings and nights. Gilgit-Baltistan will experience extremely cold conditions along with partly cloudy skies. Murree and Galiyat will also see cold and dry weather.
Plains of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cold mornings and nights will persist, with fog and smog affecting visibility in several cities, including Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Jhelum, Faisalabad, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Sahiwal, Multan, Khanewal, Layyah, Kot Addu, and Bahawalpur.
Islamabad and its surroundings will also experience cold and dry weather.
Sindh and Balochistan these regions will remain dry, with cold mornings and nights.
Authorities have advised residents to take necessary precautions during early morning and nighttime hours due to low visibility and dropping temperatures.
