Islamabad: According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), today the majority of the country will experience cold and dry weather.
The mountainous regions are expected to remain extremely cold, especially during early morning and late-night hours.
Light to moderate fog is expected in parts of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Upper Sindh during early morning and night. Areas like Sukkur, Rohri, Ghotki, Larkana, Mohenjo Daro, and surrounding regions may witness fog formation at a few places.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s northern districts will experience extremely cold temperatures during the early morning and night, while most districts of the province will remain cold with partly cloudy skies.
The plains of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Upper Sindh are likely to experience smog due to weather conditions.
Islamabad, Pothohar region, and areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are likely to experience fog during the morning hours. The capital city and surrounding areas will have dry and cold conditions, with partially cloudy skies expected in the evening and night.
Areas like Murree, Galyat, and surrounding regions will have cold and partially cloudy weather.
The northern districts of Balochistan are expected to remain extremely cold during morning and night.
Overall, Pakistan will experience cold, dry weather with some fog and smog in select areas, highlighting the continuing shift into winter conditions.
