Karachi: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) reports that Karachi woke up to dense fog this morning, with visibility reduced to just 4 meters
The thick fog is a result of high moisture content in the air, creating challenging conditions for commuters and early-morning travelers.
The humidity currently stands at 88 percent, with temperatures ranging from a minimum of 14.5°C to a maximum of 27°C.
The PMD forecasts that Karachi will remain dry for the rest of the week, with warm days and cool nights, though rainfall is expected on January 23, 2026.
Nationwide Weather Outlook
Across the country, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir are expected to experience overcast skies, with chances of light rain and snowfall in some areas. Most other regions will remain cold and dry.
Dense to moderate fog is likely to affect the plains of Punjab, upper Sindh, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, potentially reducing visibility in cities including Peshawar, Mardan, Sukkur, Larkana, and Dera Bugti.
Islamabad and surrounding areas will remain cold with partially cloudy skies, while northern districts of Balochistan may experience severe cold, and other parts of the province are expected to stay dry with clear skies.
