EU foreign ministers focus on increasing sanctions on Russia
European Union foreign ministers are focusing on Monday on tightening the wide package of sanctions against Russia and exploring ways to impose a ban on gold exports in the hopes that the measures will begin to have a significant impact on the war in Ukraine.

Later this week, the 27 ministers will talk about putting more limits on high-tech exports to Russia.
In addition to the restrictive measures, the ministers will look at proposals to give Ukraine more military aid and will talk to Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba via video conference about the most recent events.
“If anything needs to be continued, it is weapons deliveries. And anybody who can who can do that, obviously, this is the main industrial countries of of the Western world. They have to step up with that, “Gabriel Landsbergis, Lithuania’s foreign minister, said it was also important to protect the port of Odesa so grain supplies could resume.
