The capital city of Kyiv and cities in the north, south, west, and center were all hit by 76 missiles fired by Russian forces, according to officials, as well as drone operations on Friday.

In Kherson, one person died and two people died in Kryvyi Rih when a residential structure was struck.

As Russia aims to destroy Ukraine’s infrastructure for civilian use, attacks have gotten worse this week.

Northern Kharkiv and numerous other areas were without power entirely.

Injuries to nine power plants, according to the energy minister, and widespread emergency outages, according to a presidential official.

Energy consumption, according to power grid operator Ukrenergo, has decreased by 50% since the attacks on Friday.

Russia has been charged with “weaponizing” winter by attacking critical infrastructure when the temperature drops.

Yuriy Sak, an adviser to the defense ministry, told the Media that while emergency services were trying to restore supplies, the situation was “still challenging.”

Air defenses, the majority of which were cruise missiles, intercepted 60 of the 76 missiles fired, according to Commander-in-Chief General Valeriy Zaluzhny.

The alarm was aroused throughout Ukraine.

The largest barrage since Russia’s invasion on February 24th, according to Kyiv municipal officials, was almost 40 missiles fired at the capital alone. Air defences, it continued, brought down 37 aircraft.

There were at least two fatalities and eight injuries after a rocket struck a residential building in Kryvyi Rih, the city’s centre, according to police.
