Air raid alerts activates across Ukraine, including capital Kyiv
Air raid alarms were activated across the entirety of Ukraine including capital Kyiv on Thursday, according to the emergency air alarms map of that nation.
The action was taken after missile strikes across Ukraine overnight on Thursday left at least 11 people dead and more than 20 injured.
Russia fired more than 80 missiles towards important infrastructure.
The overnight strikes constitute “an attack like I don’t remember seeing before,” said a spokesman for the Ukrainian air force on Thursday.
“As you can see, the attack is really large-scale and for the first time using such different types of missiles,” said Yurii Ihnat, spokesman for the Air Force Command of Ukraine, on Ukrainian television.
