Egypt has rejected reports that the country has increased its entry visa fee. The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities said claims that the fee had been raised from $25 to $45 are false.
It explained that recent amendments to Law No. 175 of 2025 only set $45 as the maximum possible fee, but the current charge remains $25.
The ministry said that any future changes to visa fees or entry rules would be officially announced. It also urged the public and media to rely on verified and official sources for accurate updates.
Meanwhile, Pakistan and Egypt have renewed their commitment to boosting defence and security cooperation.

They also agreed to work together more closely for regional peace and stability. The Egyptian foreign minister conveyed greetings from Egypt’s leadership and expressed the country’s desire to expand cooperation with Pakistan in all areas.
Both countries reaffirmed the importance of continued high-level engagement and shared views on regional security developments, with a commitment to further deepen defence relations.
