A huge fire broke out in a multi-storey residential complex in Hong Kong, killing 13 people, including one firefighter. Numerous others were injured, and some firefighters had been hurt while trying to manage the blaze.
The fire has been classified as a level-4 emergency, and efforts to extinguish it have been ongoing for several hours. Some citizens are nevertheless trapped inside the building.

Around 700 people have been evacuated to temporary shelters. The complex has 8 blocks, each with 31 floors, containing roughly 2,000 apartments and housing about 5,000 residents.
Seven out of the eight blocks are suffering from the fire, making it difficult for authorities and firefighters to bring it underneath control. Teams are working to rescue anyone still inside and fully contain the fire.
