Deliveries of over 80,000 generators to Ukraine
A Ukrainian lawmaker, Ukraine has received more than 80,000 generators in recent weeks, according to Yaroslav Zheleznyak.
“82,124 power generators and 3,075 power transformers were imported into Ukraine from November 9 to November 30,” he said. “Also, 266,596 power banks and accumulators were imported over the same period.”
Zheleznyak serves as the committee’s deputy chairperson for finance, taxation, and import policy.
In response to Russian attacks on energy infrastructure, a number of nations have said that they will give power generators to Ukraine so that the country will have warmth for the winter.
The US government committed more than $50 million in equipment this week to help Ukraine’s electrical system.
According to US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, the equipment, including transformers, generators, and replacement parts, will reach Ukraine “not in a matter of months, but in a matter of days, or weeks.”
