Zelensky: The biggest economic undertaking in Europe now is the reconstruction of Ukraine

Ukraine needs to be rebuilt, and that means massive investments in new technologies, best practises, institutions, and, of course, reforms.

In his nightly video message, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that on Monday, Ukraine will provide its national perspective on how to put all of this into practise in Lugano.

The opening of a special meeting in Lugano, Switzerland, is something we are actively preparing for. Monday is the first day of it. a big worldwide event devoted to our nation’s rehabilitation. In the broadest definition of the word, reconstruction In addition to rebuilding all the occupiers destroyed, Ukraine needs to have a new foundation for life that is safe, contemporary, convenient, and barrier-free. The sum of billions, along with new technologies, industry standards, institutions, and, of course, reforms.

Additionally, Ukraine will give in Lugano on Monday its national perspective on how to put all of this into practise.

In fact, this is the biggest economic project in Europe at the moment, providing exceptional chances for every country and business that we encourage to operate in Ukraine to demonstrate their abilities.

After February 24, conflicts spread to ten other districts. We were able to liberate 1,027 towns and communities during this time, but 2,610 others are still under Russian control. And the majority of them need to be rebuilt; hundreds of them were totally destroyed by the Russian army and must be completely rebuilt. Nevertheless, scores of cities in other parts of Ukraine also received missile attacks. Numerous businesses were obliterated. There are also intricate, extremely risky businesses among them, such as chemistry and metallurgy.

Naturally, we have already started on our own to return life to normal in freed villages and regions. But only by luring in foreign talent would such a massive project be implemented nationwide, bringing new safety regulations and a new level of living.

As a result, the Lugano Conference may mark a crucial turning point in Ukraine’s rehabilitation. And this event might be seen as the project’s start when we carry it out, which I have no doubt will happen.

Even while there is still much to be done for our victory, and it will be a challenging road because the conflict is still going on, we must start making every effort to ensure that the aggressor loses not only on the battlefield but also historically and intellectually. To ensure that everyone in Russia is aware of the fact that Ukraine cannot be destroyed by anything, anyone, not even a horrible war.
