Prime Minister Imran Khan has replaced Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan and appointed former Director General Inter Service Public Relations (DG ISPR) Lt. Gen. (retd) Asim Saleem Bajwa as the new Special Assistant for Information.
According to the details, PM Imran has also appointed senator Shibli Faraz as Federal Information Minister.

Earlier, the federal government appointed Let. Asim Bajwa head of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Authority.
Asim Bajwa is a retired Pakistani Three-star general who was Commander Southern Command prior to that he also served as Director General of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
He also served as DG ISPR from 2012 to 2016 preceding Major Gen. Asif Ghafoor.
