Karachi to experience drop in temperatures over next three days

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted primarily hot and dry weather accompanied by gusty/dust-raising winds for Karachi, Hyderabad, and most regions of Sindh on Sunday evening/night, Monday, and Tuesday.

According to the synoptic situation, continental air dominates most parts of Pakistan, while a shallow westerly wave prevails over the northern areas of the country. These conditions suggest that Karachi, Hyderabad, and most areas of Sindh can expect mainly hot and dry weather on Sunday evening/night and the subsequent two days, with gusty/dust-raising winds likely in the afternoon.

On Monday and Tuesday, Karachi is anticipated to experience maximum temperatures ranging between 36-38 degrees Celsius, while Hyderabad’s maximum temperatures are expected to range between 39-41 degrees Celsius on Monday and 40-42 degrees Celsius on Tuesday.

During the last 24 hours, dry weather prevailed in the port city of Karachi, Hyderabad, and most parts of the province. Nawabshah, Mohenjo-Daro, and Jacobabad reported as the hottest places in the province, recording maximum temperatures of 43 degrees Celsius. In Karachi, the maximum temperature was recorded at 35 degrees Celsius, with a relative humidity of 71 percent during the morning. In Hyderabad, the maximum temperature was recorded at 39 degrees Celsius, with a relative humidity of 64 percent during the morning.
