LAHORE: Head of Judicial Activism Panel (JAP) Advocate Azhar Siddique wrote a letter to the president and the prime minister to improve facilities in jail for Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf founder Imran Khan.

On behalf of PTI, the letter to the President and Prime Minister was written by Azhar Siddique Advocate, Head of Judicial Activism Panel of PTI.

In the letter written by Azhar Siddique Advocate, it has been stated that PTI founder is not being provided facilities as per the law in jail.

The letter further states that PTI founder Imran Khan is not being allowed to meet people and he should be provided with basic facilities in jail.

It should be remembered that while talking informally to the journalists, Imran Khan had hinted to go on a hunger strike over non-provision of facilities in Adiala Jail.

He had said that party leaders came to him but they were not allowed.  He said “I had called both PTI groups to jail to end their differences”.

The PTI founder said that when people are not allowed to meet and how will the differences end. He said “I am going on a hunger strike because of ill-treatment of me in jail and I will announce the date of the hunger strike after consulting the party”.
