PM Khan has given clear vision regarding peace: COAS
On Monday, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Qamar Javed Bajwa met with the US Special Representative for Afghanistan Reconciliation, headed by Ambassador Zalmay Khalilzad at GHQ.
During the meeting, Pak’s Special Representative for Afghanistan, Ambassador Mohammad Sadiq, was also present. Different matters including mutual interest, regional security, and the ongoing Afghan Reconciliation process were discussed.
The delegation appreciated Pakistan’s support in the ongoing peace process and said,
“It could not have succeeded without Pakistan’s sincere and unconditional support.”
During the meeting, COAS also appreciated Prime Minister Imran Khan for giving a clear vision regarding peace and connectivity.
He further said,
“Elements of national power are united towards making that vision a reality to ensure long-awaited peace, progress, and prosperity in the region.”
