
Pakistan reports second polio case of 2025
Pakistan has recorded another polio case, raising the total number of cases in 2024 to 64.
The National Emergency Operations Center (NEOC) for Polio Eradication confirmed that the latest case was detected in Jacobabad, Sindh, marking the fourth case from the area this year.
This surge in polio cases has drawn attention from international organizations, prompting calls for Pakistan to enforce emergency measures to combat the outbreak.
In response, Pakistani authorities have assured global organizations of taking prompt and decisive actions to curb the spread of polio.
