Government extends passport office timings

Selected offices will now operate in two shifts from 8 a.m. to midnight.

Pakistan has extended the working hours of eight regional passport offices to make passport services more convenient for citizens.

Under the directives of Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, the selected offices will now operate in two shifts from 8 a.m. to midnight.

The extended working hours will apply to passport offices in Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Multan, Bahawalpur, Peshawar, Rawalpindi, Hyderabad and Quetta.

Officials said the decision will give citizens greater flexibility when applying for passports and help reduce waiting times at the offices.

The move is part of efforts to improve access to passport services and provide facilities to citizens beyond regular working hours.
