Honor is getting ready to introduce the Honor 500 and Honor 500 Pro on November 24 in China. The company has already shown the design of both phones and has now confirmed a major new feature for the Pro version.

New 3D Ultrasonic Fingerprint Sensor

Honor has confirmed that the Honor 500 Pro will feature a new 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor built under the display. This sensor is more secure and more accurate than the usual optical ones.

According to Honor, the improved scanner can unlock the phone in just 0.1 seconds, even if the user’s hands or the screen are wet. The device also has an IP69K rating, which means it can withstand high-pressure water.

Honor has not released the full specifications for the Honor 500 Pro. However, a recent leak suggests that the phone may include:

-Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset
-8,000 mAh battery
-50MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom

Meanwhile, the standard Honor 500 is expected to feature the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor.
