Rawalpindi: Security forces carried out a major intelligence-based operation in Kohlu district of Balochistan, killing five Indian sponsored terrorists.

According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces targeted a hideout of terrorists affiliated with the Indian-sponsored group “Fitna al-Hindustan” in Kohlu following confirmed intelligence about their presence in the area.

ISPR stated that during the operation, intense exchange of fire took place between security forces and the terrorists, resulting in the killing of five Indian-sponsored militants.

The eliminated terrorists were involved in multiple acts of terrorism in the region and had been part of conspiracies targeting security forces as well as innocent civilians.

Following the operation, weapons and explosive material were recovered from the possession of the killed terrorists, which were intended to be used in various subversive activities.

Security forces have launched sanitization operations in the area to ensure complete clearance and to eliminate any remaining terrorist elements.

ISPR further said that security forces are continuing their counter-terrorism operations with full resolve under the vision of Azm-e-Istehkam to ensure peace and stability in the country.

The statement reaffirmed that security forces and law enforcement agencies will continue to take decisive action with full force to eliminate foreign-sponsored terrorism from Pakistan.
