Veteran actor Daniel Stern, immortalized as Marv in the Home Alone franchise, has been cited by authorities in connection with an alleged prostitution sting in Southern California.
The 68-year-old reportedly received the citation on December 10 during an operation at a hotel in Camarillo, Ventura County.
Law enforcement confirmed Stern was ticketed for soliciting prostitution, though he was neither arrested nor detained. A citation carries less legal weight than an arrest, and it remains uncertain whether prosecutors will pursue formal charges.
No court date has been scheduled, and officials have yet to clarify whether the case will proceed or be dismissed.
The alleged incident occurred during the holiday season, a period when Home Alone typically enjoys a renewed surge in popularity. Stern has remained silent, offering no public comment regarding the situation.
In recent years, Daniel Stern has cultivated a reclusive lifestyle, deliberately stepping away from Hollywood’s spotlight.
Speaking about his absence from the 35th anniversary of Home Alone, he said, “I don’t leave my farm. It’s no offense to the movie. I’m just a phone call, Zoom call, I’m in, but… I’m a bit of a homebody.”
Daniel Stern has immersed himself in a tranquil, rural life, dedicating time to cattle ranching, cultivating tangerines, and sculpting.
While largely retired from acting, he continues to engage in select projects and media opportunities remotely, maintaining a quiet connection to the entertainment industry.
