The Sindh government on Monday announced a public holiday across the province on Wednesday, July 29, to mark the annual urs of renowned Sufi poet Hazrat Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai (RA).
According to a notification issued by the Sindh Information Department, the holiday will be observed at all provincial government offices.
The holiday will also apply to autonomous and semi-autonomous bodies, corporations and local councils operating under the Sindh government.

The notification said essential services will remain open and continue operating as usual despite the public holiday.
The annual urs of Hazrat Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai (RA) is observed every year at his shrine in Bhit Shah.
Thousands of devotees from across Pakistan visit the shrine each year to pay tribute to the renowned Sufi poet. They gather to honor his poetry, teachings and enduring spiritual legacy.
