Netflix has officially confirmed the release dates for Bridgerton Season 4, with the Regency-era romance set to return in early 2026. The new season shifts the spotlight to Benedict Bridgerton, the family’s second eldest son, whose artistic and free-spirited nature has long intrigued fans.
Following the successful rollout of the previous season, Netflix will once again release the show in two parts. Part 1, consisting of the first four episodes, will premiere globally on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at midnight PT (3 a.m. ET). The remaining four episodes will debut four weeks later on Thursday, February 26, 2026, a strategy designed to maintain anticipation and fuel ongoing discussion.
Season 4 is based on Julia Quinn’s third Bridgerton novel, An Offer from a Gentleman. According to showrunner Jess Brownell, the season reimagines a Cinderella-style romance with a modern perspective. While the story retains its fairy-tale appeal, Brownell has emphasized that the female lead is portrayed as resilient and self-directed rather than a passive figure awaiting rescue.
The season introduces Sophie Baek, portrayed by Australian actress Yerin Ha. Sophie is the illegitimate daughter of an earl who is forced into servitude by her cruel stepmother. Her life briefly transforms when she attends a lavish masquerade ball in disguise as the mysterious “Lady in Silver,” capturing Benedict’s attention and setting the stage for a forbidden romance shaped by class and identity.
Netflix has also revealed the episode titles for Part 1, including The Waltz, Time Transfixed, The Field Next to the Other Road, and An Offer from a Gentleman. Part 2 will continue the story with episodes titled Yes or No, The Passing Winter, The Beyond, and Dance in the Country.
Several familiar faces return, including Jonathan Bailey and Simone Ashley as Anthony and Kate, Luke Newton and Nicola Coughlan as Colin and Penelope, and Claudia Jessie as Eloise. Julie Andrews once again narrates as Lady Whistledown.
All previous seasons are currently streaming on Netflix. The platform has also confirmed Bridgerton will continue through at least Seasons 5 and 6.
