Former CM Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur said that Mohsin Naqvi formally approached to the CDF and held serious discussions regarding the release of the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

Speaking about the matter, Gandapur stated that Mohsin Naqvi was the only individual who directly raised the issue of the PTI founder’s release during the forum’s proceedings. According to him, other personalities present did not openly address the matter.

He said that Mohsin Naqvi engaged in meaningful and serious talks regarding the possibility of release, terming the outreach a “practical step.” In contrast, Gandapur criticized the PTI leadership for what he described as a failure to adopt concrete and constructive measures.

“The biggest issue is the lack of a serious and result-oriented strategy within the party,” Gandapur said, adding that mere statements and emotional slogans would not secure the release of the PTI founder.

He emphasized that protests and agitation alone would not lead to success. Instead, Gandapur suggested that political wisdom, negotiations, and legal avenues must be pursued to achieve progress.

According to him, confrontational politics could further complicate the situation, and without serious dialogue, no breakthrough would be possible. He also stressed the need for internal unity and a clear strategy within PTI.

Gandapur maintained that effective negotiations and constructive measures rather than street protests offer the most viable path toward the release of the party’s founder.
