LAHORE: A sessions court in Lahore has extended the interim bail of PML-N MPA Saqib Chadhar and his wife Samira until July 2 in a case involving allegations of harassment and death threats filed by actress Momina Iqbal.
The proceedings were heard by Additional Sessions Judge Nusrat Ali Siddique, who adjourned the case due to an incomplete investigation and directed authorities to submit the relevant records at the next hearing.
During the hearing the investigating officer informed the court that the suspects’ mobile phones had been sent for forensic analysis, and additional time was required to complete the investigation.
The court also instructed the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) to present a detailed investigation report in the next session.
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA)-registered case stems from a complaint filed by actress Momina Iqbal, who accused the lawmaker and his wife of harassment and issuing threats.
Momina Iqbal, a Pakistani model and actress who gained prominence after her debut in 2018, later shifted to Lahore for higher studies and completed a degree in Mass Communication from the University of Lahore.
The court proceedings have been adjourned until July 2, while bail protection for the accused remains in effect as the investigation continues.
