K-pop supergroup BTS will host a large fan event in New York later this month to celebrate the group’s world tour stop in a neighboring city, its agency, BigHit Music, announced Friday.
The event, called “BTS The City Arirang New York,” will take place from July 24 through August 3 (local time), alongside BTS’ “Arirang” world tour concerts August 1-2 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
As part of the event, Grand Central Terminal, one of New York’s busiest and most historic landmarks with about 750,000 daily visitors, will be decorated with visuals inspired by BTS’ fifth full-length album, “Arirang.” According to the agency, red posters featuring the album’s signature color will be displayed throughout the terminal.

Vanderbilt Hall, inside Grand Central Terminal, will host “ARMY Madang,” where fans can see stage outfits worn by BTS during the group’s 2019 Wembley Stadium concerts in London. Additional fan events and interactive programs are also planned. “ARMY” is the official name of BTS’ fan community.
“The City” is a large-scale cultural project that extends the BTS concert experience throughout host cities with themed displays and events. It debuted during the group’s “Permission to Dance on Stage” tour in Las Vegas in 2022 and has since been held in major cities, including Seoul, Busan, Las Vegas and London.
