Charlotte Casiraghi, daughter of Princess Caroline of Monaco, has received her first literary award for her debut solo book, La Fêlure, at a literary festival in Corsica.
Casiraghi was honored with the 2026 Musanostra Prize during the 16th edition of the E Statinate festival in Lumio, where she attended as the guest of honor.
The award marks the first literary prize received by Casiraghi for a book written entirely on her own. The Musanostra Prize recognizes distinguished authors writing in French or Corsican.
Published by Julliard in January, La Fêlure is Casiraghi’s first solo book. The work explores themes of human fragility, personal struggles, motherhood, grief and the idea of finding meaning in life’s wounds and fractures.
During the award ceremony, Casiraghi expressed her happiness and said the recognition meant a great deal to her.
“This is the first prize I have received for this book, and I think Corsica brings me luck,” she said while accepting the award.
She also spoke about the connection between the themes of her book and Corsica, describing La Fêlure as a work about facing uncertainty, taking risks and “navigating the fracture.”
The book follows Casiraghi’s earlier literary work, L’Archipel des passions, which she co-wrote with philosopher Robert Maggiori in 2018. Writing has remained an important form of expression for Casiraghi, who has also spoken about the role literature has played in her life since childhood.
The Musanostra Prize marks a new milestone in Casiraghi’s literary journey, and she has reportedly revealed that she is already working on her next book.
