LAHORE: After months of preparation, anticipation and wait, thousands of students across Punjab finally received their matriculation results on Thursday as all nine Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education announced the SSC Part-II First Annual Examination 2026 results.
The results were released simultaneously by the boards of Lahore, Bahawalpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Multan, Rawalpindi, Sahiwal and Sargodha, with students able to check their scores through official websites and SMS services.
The announcement brought a major academic milestone for students, while several boards recorded pass percentages above 60% in the annual examinations.
The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Lahore reported a success rate of more than 64%. According to the board spokesperson, 282,308 candidates appeared in the examinations, out of which 182,186 students successfully passed.
In a move towards digital advancement, BISE Lahore introduced an artificial intelligence-powered chatbot to provide students with instant access to their results. Students can check their marks by entering their six-digit roll number on the board’s chatbot platform.

The Lahore Board said the initiative reflects its commitment to digital transformation and improving public services through modern technology.
The Rawalpindi Board announced that 120,411 candidates appeared in the examinations, while 73,829 students were declared successful, achieving an overall pass percentage of 61.31%.
Female students secured a higher success rate in Rawalpindi, with 70.18% passing compared to 51.99% among male candidates.
The Multan Board recorded a pass percentage of 65.72%, with 96,638 students passing out of 133,019 candidates who appeared in the exams.
Meanwhile, the Bahawalpur Board reported a 65.47% success rate, as 63,012 students passed out of 96,245 candidates.
In the Bahawalpur Board, Abdul Haseeb from Government Abbasia Higher Secondary School secured the first position with 1,186 marks. Muzammil Bilal claimed the second position with 1,184 marks.
Javeria Fatima from Umm-ul-Qura Public Girls High School and Iman Fatima Malik from Government Girls Higher Secondary School Model Town jointly secured third position after scoring 1,183 marks each.
Students can access their SSC Part-II First Annual Examination 2026 results through their respective board websites or SMS services.
