The Vice President of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Maryam Nawaz has tested negative for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

According to the details, PML-N MPA Hina Parvez Butt confirmed in her tweet. She said that Maryam Nawaz’s COVID-19 test was declared negative. Maryam is suffering from some infection, for which she is getting treatment, the MPA said.

PML-N spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb earlier today said that Maryam Nawaz has a high fever and throat pain. She has taken a Covid-19 test, the result of which is awaited, the spokesperson added.

Maryam Nawaz also suspended all her political activities for four days.

According to media reports, Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman also suspended political engagements after contracting fever.

Doctors have also advised Maulana Fazlur Rahman to rest and suspend political activities for a while.
