Pakistani veteran all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez set to become the 2nd cricketer to play his 100th twenty20 internationals.
As per reports, Hafeez will play his 100th T20 international against South Africa.
Hafeez will be the sixth international player to attain the feat, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced in a press release.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said in their statement that,
“Hafeez is one shy of reaching the three-figure mark and all set to join the exclusive club of Shoaib Malik (116), Rohit Sharma (111), Martin Guptill, Eoin Morgan, and Ross Taylor (102) who have appeared in 100 or more T20Is since the inception of the shortest format of the game in February 2005.”
Earlier, South African skipper Temba Bavuma has been ruled out of the upcoming four-match Twenty20 international series against Pakistan after suffering a Grade One hamstring strain.
According to a statement by Cricket South Africa (CSA), Temba Bavuma will not be a part of the T20I series against Pakistan after suffering a Grade One hamstring strain.
The statement added that Rassie van der Dussen will continue treatment and monitoring of his Grade One left quadriceps muscle strain.
