The film industry has faced a crucial time due to the coronavirus pandemic and there are not many films made these past two years due to the uncertainty. Despite all these challenges, the film industry has decided to move ahead with the production of movies.

 

As the cinemas reopened last week throughout the country it has brought a wave of happiness among the movie lovers, directors and actors. Khel Khel Mein is going to be the first Pakistani movie to grace the cinemas after the coronavirus pandemic. The movie is expected to be released nationwide on November 19th, 2021.

 

The cathartic teaser reveals that the movie is inspired by true events showing glimpses of soldiers, warplanes, which are executed with a sombre voiceover. The trailer slowly builds onto a different setting surrounded by students involved in a theatrical rendition that is set to look back at the events of the Indo-Pak War of 1971.

Directed by Nabeel Qureshi and produced by Fizza Ali Meerza, the movie is a historical drama that depicts the perspective of youth to change the world. Showcasing the dynamic duo of Sajal Aly and Bilal Abbas Khan, the film also includes a star-studded cast of Marina Khan, Javed Sheikh, Samina Ahmed and Manzar Sehbai.

 

Sajal Aly posted the artistically curated trailer on her social media with the caption “Filmwala Pictures is excited to announce the first Pakistani film to be released post-covid-19 and upon the opening of Cinemas nationwide. Thank you to all our fans for being so patient!”

Bilal Abbas shared his excitement over the reopening of cinemas with his movie and praised the production as well saying “Working with the finest producer and director duo in the country for the first time. Iss baar milte hain theatre mein,”

 

After the drama serial O Rangreza, Sajal and Bilal will be sharing the big screen now. As the trailer suggests, the movie seems promising and is sure to be a wild ride as it twists timelines, asks critical questions, and gives us a mixed taste of friendship and betrayal.
