Arijit Singh shares who his favourite Pakistani singers are, video goes viral!

Divided by borders, united with their love for music, Pakistan and India really love the music they put out. Singers like Atif Aslam, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Mustafa Zahid are just as popular in India as they are in Pakistan. Similarly, their singers have quite the fan following in Pakistan.

Arijit Singh, known for his soulful vocals and resonating lyrics, had a concert in Dubai recently. The Indian singer took it upon himself to reveal his favourite Pakistani singers to the audience.

In a video that’s now been circulating on social media, the singer and song-writer shared that he doesn’t keep up with the news as such, it is worth mentioning that India had banned Pakistani artists from working in India following the Pulwama attack.

Continuing, the singer went on to ask the audience if the ban on Pakistani artists was still in motion and shared that his favourite singers were Atif Aslam, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Shafqat Amanat Ali. Arijit then went on to sing Atif’s Pehli Nazar Mein which was featured in the movie Race to pay homage to the artist.
