The statement made by Austrian Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg about Ukraine’s European destiny has dismayed the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.

In a commentary to Ukrinform, Ukrainian Foreign Affairs Ministry Spokesperson Oleg Nikolenko made the necessary declaration.

“We believe that [statement – Ed.] is strategically shortsighted and contrary to the interests of a unified Europe.” Such assertions also ignore the reality that “the vast majority of the population of the EU founding member nations supports Ukraine’s admission,” according to Nikolenko.

Dmytro Kuleba, Ukraine’s Foreign Minister, has already stated that the Ukrainian people are paying a terrible price for several European nations’ sins. Their distorted view of reality has already weakened Europe’s political and economic institutions, allowing Russia to undermine EU stability and carry out hybrid assault against European countries, according to Nikolenko.

“It appears that the current war, with its losses and destructions, is insufficient for them.” Undermining Putin’s aggressive plans and slowing the EU’s strengthening with Ukraine’s capabilities, postponing Ukraine’s EU membership under various pretexts or seeking an alternative means indulging Putin’s aggressive plans and slowing the EU’s strengthening with Ukraine’s capabilities,” Nikolenko noted.

According to Nikolenko, Ukraine has every right to demand that its achievements and vital position in the EU be objectively recognized.

“Europe can now live in peace thanks to the President of Ukraine’s unshakable will and courage, as well as the courage of the Ukrainian people.” “Our state has become an outpost for the protection of EU security, European freedom, and European ideals,” Nikolenko stated emphatically.

A reminder that during a European media summit in Lech am Arlberg, Austrian Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg stressed that Ukraine should neither be granted EU candidate status or offered EU membership this June.
