Dr. Sania Nishtar, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Social Protection and Poverty Alleviation said deserving citizens who are unable to earn their livelihood due to coronavirus can get registered under Ehsaas Program by sending their CNIC number to 8171 till today 12 hours midnight. Today is the last day to register in Ehsaas Program.
In a tweet, she said after registration they can get 12,000 rupees assistance under this program.
The special Assistant said 53.336 billion rupees have so far been paid to over 4.444 million deserving families.

Earlier ruling party Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) Leader and Member Sindh Assembly Haleem Adil Sheikh said that Rs 17 billion distributed among 1.4 million needy families of the province under Ehsaas Programme.
In a video message, he said that the cash distribution among deserving people was underway and over Rs. 50 billion distributed among 4.1 million needy families across the country during last 9 days.
PTI Leader Haleem Adil Sheikh said that the cash distributed without any political sources and without any discrimination. Under the program Rs. 144 billion would distributed among 12 million needy families of the country.
Haleem Adil said that those deserving people, who had not been able to send message, could register till April 19th (last day) by 12 am, added that our government had helped all the poor people without any political discrimination.
PTI leader also criticized the Sindh government for poor management and said that the Sindh government had no clear plan of action that caused hurdles for the people of the province.
