In her attempt to find Beyoncé at the 2023 Grammy Awards on Sunday night, Lizzo almost tore a neck muscle.

We’ve got Beyoncé in the room, people! said Trevor Noah as he began his opening monologue next to Lizzo’s table.

The 34-year-old Lizzo then slightly sprang out of her seat to scan the area for the “BREAK MY SOUL” performer while exclaiming, “Where?”

The twerking flautist’s jaw fell in surprise as she looked around the space for Beyoncé, 41. Twitter users responded to Lizzo’s obvious Beyoncé fangirling.

“Lizzo is us all. Queen Bey where? One guy tweeted, “#GRAMMYs. LIZZO IS SO REAL LMAOOO,” a second added. “Where’s Beyoncé?” A third person remarked, “Lizzo is Beyoncé #1 fan [for real].”

Another chuckled as they said, “Lizzo flew up.” The audience found out shortly after that Beyoncé was running late and had not yet arrived at the event due to traffic. Even missing out on winning the Grammy for Best R&B song was Queen Bey.

She would soon be gracing them with her presence, Noah informed the throng. “Beyoncé is truly on her way. The benefit of holding the Grammy Awards in Los Angeles is that everyone can attend. Traffic is a drawback of holding the Grammys in Los Angeles, he noted.

Bey and her husband Jay Z first came at their respective tables an hour and a half into the program, and Noah then presented Bey with her first Grammy of the evening.

Later on in the evening, Lizzo accepted the Record of the Year award and acknowledged Beyoncé in her acceptance speech for being her inspiration.

“You altered my course… She thanked Beyoncé for making her feel that way, adding, “I want to make people feel this way with my music, so thank you very much.” You are without a doubt our life’ greatest artist. I adore you.

Halfway through the award event, Beyoncé and Lizzo were seen posing for pictures together as well.

She looked lovely in a Dolce & Gabbana peach corset gown layered beneath a similar floral cloak. Wright, meanwhile, looked sharp in a tux.

For photographers to take pictures, the in love pair engaged in PDA on the carpet and wrapped their arms around one another.

Lizzo and her comic boyfriend went to Clive Davis’ Pre-Grammy event on Saturday night, and she uploaded several pictures from it to her Instagram.

She wrote in the caption, “Hard Launch.” Despite knowing one another since 2016, the couple only began dating in 2021.

When they walked the red carpet together for Lizzo’s Amazon Prime Video reality series, “Lizzo’s Watch Out for the Big Grrls,” they made their Instagram debut in June of last year after Lizzo first kept their relationship under wraps.
