Ben Affleck reportedly wants to cast his ex-wife Jennifer Garner in new film

Ben Affleck
  • Ben Affleck is reportedly looking to cast his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner.
  • Ben has so many ideas popping in his head as per a source.
  • Affleck and Garner previously co-starred in Pearl Harbor and Daredevil.

Ben Affleck, the Oscar-winning actor and producer behind Artists Equity, is reportedly looking to cast his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, in an upcoming film. Sources told DailyMail.com that the former couple has grown “closer” in recent months, leading Affleck to consider a professional collaboration with Garner.

A source revealed, “Ben has so many ideas popping in his head, he feels like he knows just what to do with her.” The insider added, “He feels that her true talents have not been brought to light and he is just the producer who can find her the right material. She can do both drama and comedy, so he feels there are a lot of opportunities for her skills.”

Affleck and Garner previously co-starred in Pearl Harbor (2001) and Daredevil (2003), and now they may reunite on screen. This follows Affleck’s recent projects with his now-ex-wife, Jennifer Lopez, including Unstoppable and Kiss of the Spider Woman.

Despite their growing bond, DailyMail.com reports that Garner is “deathly afraid of falling back in love” with Affleck due to lingering “trust issues” after his past infidelity. “She loves Ben but is worried that he will crush her all over again,” the source said. “She doesn’t want to heal another broken heart because it is just too much drama, plus she does not want their kids to see round two of their mom in a bad place with their dad.”

World’s most accurate clock goes on sale in Japan for $3.3 million

World’s most accurate
  • The world’s most accurate clock went on sale in Japan for $3.3 million.
  • The clock is touted as the world’s most accurate.
  • The device stands approximately one meter (three feet) tall.

A groundbreaking timepiece, known as the “Aether clock OC 020,” went on sale in Japan on Wednesday for $3.3 million. Manufactured by Kyoto-based Shimadzu Corp, the clock is touted as the world’s most accurate, deviating by only one second over 10 billion years.

The precision-equipment producer described the machine as a “strontium optical lattice clock,” stating that it is “100 times more accurate than caesium atomic clocks,” the current standard for defining seconds.

Resembling a squat, wide fridge, the device stands approximately one meter (three feet) tall with a volume of around 250 liters. Despite its compact size for an optical lattice clock, the device can be used for scientific fieldwork.

Shimadzu aims to sell 10 units over the next three years, targeting research institutions working in areas such as tectonic activity observation.

Optical lattice clocks have previously been installed in Tokyo’s iconic Skytree to test Einstein’s general theory of relativity, which states that “time flows more slowly in places with strong gravity.”

With its unparalleled accuracy, the Aether clock is expected to revolutionize scientific research and redefine precision timekeeping.

Shamoon Abbasi
  • Shamoon Abbasi called out Butt’s remarks, labeling them as “arrogant.”
  • Abbasi defended Mustafa, highlighting the challenges actors face.
  • He asserted that YouTubers do not experience the same level of struggle.

Actor Shamoon Abbasi has come to the defense of Fahad Mustafa after YouTuber Rajab Butt refused to recognize the renowned actor and criticised his stance on family vlogging.

Abbasi called out Butt’s remarks, labeling them as “arrogant” and inappropriate toward a hardworking star of Pakistan’s entertainment industry.

Earlier, Rajab Butt questioned Mustafa’s credibility, stating, “A senior earns respect through their actions,” while also criticising his game show and insinuating, “Everyone knows what it takes to get a role in a drama.”

Responding via Instagram, Abbasi defended Mustafa, highlighting the challenges actors face. “Actors dedicate at least 25 years to their craft before making a name for themselves in the industry,” he stated, explaining that they “work under tough conditions, endure physical strain, and face financial difficulties due to delayed payments or long waiting periods for co-stars to be available.”

Abbasi asserted that YouTubers do not experience the same level of struggle. “I am disappointed by the arrogant way you spoke to my brother, Fahad Mustafa,” he said.

He further warned, “If these platforms were to cease or get banned, their fame would disappear overnight,” while actors like Mustafa would remain successful. Concluding, Abbasi urged humility, saying, “When God grants you fame, try to carry it with humility.”

  • Faysal Quraishi responded to criticism for hosting Ramazan transmissions.
  • He clarified misconceptions about their role in religious programming.
  • “We are here to learn too,” he stated.

Renowned actor Faysal Quraishi recently responded to criticism surrounding celebrities hosting Ramazan transmissions. In two video clips circulating online, the Farq actor clarified misconceptions about their role in religious programming.

During a local transmission, Faysal addressed a common critique. “I’ve often seen and read people saying, ‘Now, celebrities will teach us Islam.’ That is absolutely not my or anyone else’s intention. Be it any programme, it is not our aim to school you. In fact, we are here to learn, too,” he stated.

Reflecting on his experience, he added, “Believe me, it’s my fourth consecutive year hosting a Ramazan transmission, and I’ve learnt a lot myself. There is so much that I’ve studied, grasped, realised, and understood that it has helped me shape my daily routine.”

In a separate video, Faysal reiterated, “Normally, people think we can’t do Ramazan transmissions because of our behaviour throughout the year, because they think we preach religion. We are not here to teach religion; there are respected scholars that teach Islam.”

His level-headed response earned praise from netizens. “You’re doing a very good job. Please, keep doing it,” one user wrote. Another commented, “It is upsetting that we judge others and criticise their faith instead of minding our own.”

When Michelle Trachtenberg faced rejection over her last project before death

Michelle Trachtenberg
  • Michelle Trachtenberg was also a writer, along with being a great actress.
  • Before her death, she had been working on a screenplay titled Toy Monster.
  • He recalled how the screenplay stood out among others.

Michelle Trachtenberg, who passed away on February 26 in New York, was not only a talented actress but also a gifted writer. Before her untimely death, the Gossip Girl alum had been working on a screenplay titled Toy Monster, based on Jerry Oppenheimer’s book of the same name.

Producer Casey Tebo, who was attached to the project, spoke to People about her dedication. “I don’t remember when, but my dear friend Jay Cohen (Michelle’s boyfriend) sent me a script she had written called Toy Monster,” Tebo said.

He recalled how the screenplay stood out among others. “The only scripts I remember staying with me like that in recent memory were two: Here Comes The Flood by Simon Kinberg and Toy Monster around 2019. Because they were the two best, by a landslide.”

However, Tebo noted that while Kinberg’s screenplay sold for seven figures, Trachtenberg’s script remained stagnant. Slamming Hollywood for typecasting, he said, “One of the issues with our industry is they will recognize someone like Simon as a great writer, but they will always look at Michelle as ‘Harriet the Spy’ or ‘Georgina Sparks.’”

“The truth is—Michelle was an incredible writer. But no one expects her to write like that,” he continued. “It’s about the struggle for credit, compensation, and recognition for success. Something Hollywood knows nothing about, I’m sure.”

Despite the challenges, Tebo revealed that they are committed to making Toy Monster a reality. “We’re piecing the scenes together to get it made for Michelle,” he confirmed.

Robert Downey Jr. is making a dramatic return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), but not as Iron Man. The Oscar-winning actor is set to portray the legendary villain Doctor Doom in Avengers: Doomsday, marking a stunning shift from hero to antagonist.

In an exclusive interview with Entertainment Tonight, directors Joe and Anthony Russo revealed Downey’s deep commitment to the role. “He is so immersed in it. Chinese company faces backlash for requiring employee to get married or lose job

Chinese company
  • A Chinese company sparked outrage after issuing an unusual notice.
  • The company wants employees to get married or lose their jobs.
  • The company framed the policy around traditional values.

A Chinese company, Shuntian Chemical Group, sparked outrage after issuing a notice requiring unmarried employees to marry by September 2025 or risk losing their jobs.

The company, based in Shandong province, framed the policy around traditional values such as “diligence, kindness, loyalty, filial piety, and righteousness,” asserting that marriage and family were essential to upholding these principles.

The directive applied to all single or divorced employees aged 28 to 58, mandating marriage by September 30, 2025. Employees who failed to comply were instructed to submit self-criticism letters by March and could face termination after a review in June. Company representatives defended the policy, claiming it was meant to encourage older employees to settle down.

However, the local human resources and social security bureau swiftly intervened, declaring the policy a violation of labor laws. Under pressure, Shuntian Chemical Group withdrew the directive.

The controversy comes amid China’s ongoing struggle with a declining birthrate, exacerbated by the legacy of the one-child policy. Despite government incentives to boost marriage and childbirth, the number of registered marriages has steadily declined, dropping to just 6.1 million in 2025, down from 7.68 million in 2021.

Hamza Ali Abbasi reflects on his approach to playing morally complex roles

Hamza Ali Abbasi
  • Hamza Ali Abbasi discussed portraying morally ambiguous characters.
  • Abbasi reflected on the lessons these characters impart.
  • He believes in a clear boundary between himself and his characters.

Renowned actor Hamza Ali Abbasi recently appeared on a podcast to discuss his career, acting methodology, and his approach to portraying morally ambiguous characters. Best known for his roles as Afzal in Pyarey Afzal and Noori Nath in The Legend of Maula Jatt, Abbasi reflected on the lessons these characters impart and how he separates performance from reality.

Unlike method actors who stay immersed in their roles for months, Abbasi believes in a clear boundary between himself and his characters. “I respect actors like Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who live in their characters for months,” he said, “But for me, the deeper I dive, the more I fumble. I need that clear separation.”

Discussing his intense roles, Abbasi explained that detaching from his characters is crucial. “If I let my characters seep into my life, it would be exhausting. Noori Nath is ruthless, and I have to leave that energy on set.”

Abbasi also emphasized the importance of well-written antagonists. “Afzal committed murders, having become a gangster, and of course, so did Noori Nath,” he shared. “But they both met tragic ends, and that’s what I appreciate about their arcs.”

Concluding the discussion, Abbasi stated, “I love what I do, but at the end of the day, I leave my characters on screen. That’s how I stay grounded.”

Justin Baldoni’s $250 million lawsuit against US publication faces temporary pause

Justin Baldoni’s lawsuit
  • Justin Baldoni’s $250 million lawsuit against The New York Times has hit a pause.
  • Judge Lewis J. Liman granted the publication’s request to halt discovery.
  • Following the ruling, the publication emphasized the significance of press freedom.

Justin Baldoni’s high-profile $250 million lawsuit against The New York Times has hit a temporary pause. Judge Lewis J. Liman has granted the publication’s request to halt discovery while he reviews its motion to dismiss the case, according to court documents filed on March 4.

In his ruling, Liman stated that Baldoni, Wayfarer Studios, and the other plaintiffs would not face significant harm from the delay. “The Wayfarer Parties are unlikely to be unfairly prejudiced by a stay while the Court decides the pending motion,” he wrote in a five-page order obtained by Deadline.

Liman also noted that The New York Times acted swiftly in its legal response. “The NY Times did not delay filing its motion; it filed the motion within 21 days of being served,” he stated, adding that the court would address the motion “promptly.”

Following the ruling, The New York Times emphasized the significance of press freedom. “We appreciate the court’s decision today, which recognizes the important First Amendment values at stake here,” a spokesperson told Us Weekly.

The outlet has continued to defend its reporting on Blake Lively’s accusations against Baldoni during It Ends With Us production. “Blake Lively raised serious concerns about the way she was treated on the set and after the movie’s release,” a spokesperson previously stated.

For now, The New York Times appears to have the upper hand in the legal battle.
