Chris Rock had remained silent on the Oscars 2022 incident, but during his current show on Friday, April 8, he laughed about Will Smith’s smack. Smith has been barred from attending the Oscars for the next ten years, according to the Academy. Rock previously stated during his first stand-up act following the event that he is still processing the incident and will address it later.

The comedian recently joked about the Oscars slap at a gig in Fantasy Springs, according to the California-based newspaper. He said “I’m OK; I’ve got a whole show to put on, and I’m not going to talk about [the Will Smith incident] until I get paid. It’s a wonderful life. My hearing was restored to me, he joked.
