Big drop in rice prices
Over a month, rice prices in the market have experienced noteworthy decreases, offering relief to consumers. The price range now varies from a minimum of 40 to a maximum of 70 rupees.
Tota Basmati rice, in particular, has seen a substantial reduction from 250 to 180 rupees per kilogram, marking a decrease of 70 rupees, the most significant among all varieties.
Similarly, the price of Special Biryani rice has dropped from Rs 270 to Rs 220 per kilogram, making it more affordable by Rs 50 per kilogram.
The price of Super Kernel Basmati rice has also decreased by Rs 40 per kilogram, now priced at Rs 280 per kilogram compared to the previous Rs 320.
Sila Basmati rice has seen a reduction of Rs 60 per kilogram, dropping from Rs 370 to Rs 310 per kilogram in just a month.
Furthermore, the price of old super-tainted rice has reduced from Rs 280 to Rs 245 per kilogram, while the price of stained rice has decreased from Rs 230 to Rs 200 per kilogram.
These price reductions offer consumers respite, making essential food items more accessible and affordable.
