Great Wall Motors (GWM) has officially introduced the ORA 5 electric vehicle (EV) in Pakistan at an ex-factory price of Rs. 8,599,000. The company has also opened bookings, allowing customers to reserve the vehicle with an initial payment of Rs. 1,700,000.
The ORA 5 is already available in several international markets, including China, New Zealand, South Africa, Thailand, and other East Asian countries. The model launched in Pakistan features the same all-electric powertrain offered in those markets.
The vehicle is powered by a 58.3-kWh battery pack and offers a WLTP-certified driving range of up to 435 kilometers on a single charge. Its electric motor produces 201 horsepower and 260 Nm of torque, enabling the front-wheel-drive hatchback to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in about eight seconds.
In terms of size, the ORA 5 is longer and wider than several hatchbacks currently available in Pakistan, including the Suzuki Swift, Dongfeng Box, and Kia Stonic.
Its larger dimensions are expected to provide a more spacious cabin, offering improved passenger comfort and generous legroom for both front and rear occupants.
The ORA 5 also comes equipped with a range of premium features, including a full Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) suite, leather seats, and several modern technology and safety features commonly found in the latest generation of Chinese electric vehicles.
