On Saturday, the group Stop Islamisation of Norway (SIAN) had organized an anti-Islam rally in the country’s capital Oslo. A clash broke out during the protest after a woman tore the pages of the Holy Quran.
Veteran Pakistani actress, Veena Malik lashed out on social media and raised her voice against the protest that happened in Norway.
Taking to her Twitter account Veena asked why freedom of speech is linked to insulting and disrespecting Islam?
“Why freedom of speech is always linked to insulting and disrespecting Islam? Why would you even allow such rally or protestors that insults and disrespects a group of people or religion, when you know that it is going to hurt more than 3 billion Muslims around the world? #Norway“

According to Norway’s media organization, police had arrested 29 people.
The anti-Islam protest started in the wake of a similar incident in Sweden’s Malmo on Friday, where Muslim protesters clashed with the police after right-wing extremists burned the Quran.
