Peter Andre has taken advantage of revived media attention around Rebekah Vardy’s chipolata remark during the ‘Wagatha Christie’trial by becoming the face of Beyond Meat’s ‘BBQ Beyond’ campaign.

At the event, the 49-year-old posed with vegan sausages and burgers, offering advice on how to prepare, cook, and host a summer BBQ with plant-based ingredients.

Last week, Rebekah entered the stand in London’s High Court to apologise for the manner she described Peter’s manhood in 2004.

She stated she “deeply regretted” selling her kiss-and-tell story to the News of the World, which had the headline “Peter’s hung like a small chipolata, shaved, slobbery, lasts five minutes.”

Peter was said to be angry that he was dragged into the trial and according to an insider was struggling with the resurfaced story – years after it originally circulated.

“Peter is livid. This whole thing has been really hard on him and the family, but it’s made him think about the wider story – and that is that other people shouldn’t be allowed to talk about others in this way,” the source told new! magazine.

“It’s so discriminating to say this about a man – this kind of thing would not be said about a woman. His children have been asking what the story is about, which is really difficult.”

In a video on Instagram he said: “Do you know how hard it is to keep biting my lip on situations?

“But the way I look at it, most people saw in the jungle how an acorn turned into an oak so I think I’m okay.

He added: “At least she has now admitted it wasn’t true. And was forced to say it.”

Peter has also slammed critics who saw him perform in the West End version of Grease: The Musical.

The actor takes on the role of Vince Fontaine, who was performed by Edd Byrnes in the 1978 blockbuster film, in the resurrected musical.
