ZEE5 posted a trailer for the thriller Lost, starring Yami Gautam, on its YouTube account on Wednesday. Yami plays a criminal reporter in the nearly two-minute-long clip who is investigating the mysterious disappearance of a young theater activist (Ishan Bharti), played by Tushar Pandey. Yami discusses making a decision between doing what is right and sticking to the facts as the trailer opens.
Danger is looming around Yami’s character as she works to put the puzzle pieces together. Ishan is either missing or evading capture, according to Yami’s conversation with the police. They inquire about if he belonged to a “extreme group” and also interview his family. His relatives claim that under the guise of questioning, they have been harassed. Inquiring about Ishan’s whereabouts, Yami also meets his girlfriend.
The movie also stars Pankaj Kapur, Neil Bhoopalam, Rahul Khanna, and Pia Bajpiee in addition to Yami and Tushar. Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury is the director of Lost, which will exclusively debut on ZEE5 on February 16.
According to news agency ANI, Yami discussed her experience working on the movie, saying, “I am delighted that the film is finally releasing and the fans will get to see a character who is so close to my heart. It is a tribute to the numerous journalists that work tirelessly to uncover the truth while also treading a narrow line that connects humanity and the very integrity of the media.
She continued, “The movie raises the appropriate concerns while representing a higher mission and a search for lost empathic ideals. I’m anxiously anticipating the film’s release to see how audiences react to it as everyone who has seen it so far has had an overwhelmingly good reaction to it.
“True life situations motivate me to develop new stories, and LOST was conceptualized in the same way,” Aniruddha further stated. You’ll be left thinking, reflecting, and feeling moved by the film. All of my performers, including Pankaj Kapoor ji, Pia Bajpayee, Rahul Khanna, Tushar Pandey, and of course Yami Gautam, gave outstanding performances. With great modesty, Yami has played the role of an investigative journalist.
