Austin Butler attended the 95th Academy Awards and walked the red carpet. During his interviews, he still had traces of his deep Elvis Presley voice.

The actor, 31, used a deeper accent without as much twang for a red carpet interview with ABC. Since I started acting when I was 12 years old, being here has always seemed like a nearly unattainable goal, he remarked. “I basically have to pinch myself constantly because I can not believe it is really happening,”

The actor was nominated for Best Actor for his portrayal of Elvis in the critically acclaimed biopic directed by Baz Luhrmann. Paul Mescal, Bill Nighy, Colin Farrell, and Brendan Fraser are his opponents.

Butler was still made fun of for his Elvis-style accent during the interviews even though he lost the prize to Fraser, according to Page Six. When will Austin Butler’s accent disappear? Or is it already a part of his DNA? one Oscar viewer enquired.

One person remarked, “Austin Butler still has a tinge of that accent and I am going to push him into a locker,” while another said. “Austin Butler DROP THAT F*ING ACCENT!!!!!” said one outraged admirer.

Another chuckled, “Austin Butler still has that goddamn accent. Jimmy Kimmel, the Oscars host, made fun of the actor’s Elvis accent even during the opening address. He was still as convincing as Elvis, Kimmel remarked.

Prior to filming the movie, Butler spent two years studying the King and taking voice and singing training to get ready, according to Priscilla Presley. “The voice was flawless. I mean, I found it hard to believe. I actually could not believe that, the woman remarked.

The actor previously discussed his accent and explained why he finds it difficult to get rid of. “I imagine after three years of giving everything I had to this one purpose of trying to bring Elvis to life in this film, I think that there is some muscle habits that must crop up,” the actor said.
