Fans, friends and families of Bollywood superstars Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt were eagerly waiting for the two to tie the knot. But sadly, their wait is not over yet as the lovebirds have postponed their big day by over a year, and they will be now tying the knot in December 2022 or early 2023.

Earlier, the lovebirds were reportedly getting married in December this year. Later, several Indian media reports suggested that the big fat Indian wedding will take place next year in February or May.

India Today quoted a source as saying that Bhatt and Kapoor have busy work schedules for their respective projects.

Another reason as per India Today remains the couple’s upcoming film Brahmastra. The film is set to be released in September next year. The makers and both Bhatt and Kapoor want the film to release before their wedding.

The couple has been dating each other for more than four years now. Last year, Ranbir Kapoor finally made his relationship official with Bhatt.

In an interview, he had said, “It would’ve been sealed had the pandemic not hit our lives. I don’t want to jinx it by saying anything. I want to tick-mark that goal very soon in my life. My girlfriend Alia is a bit of an overachiever, and she probably took every class there is — from guitar to screenwriting. I always feel like an underachiever next to her. But no, I didn’t take any classes. Initially, we were dealing with the family crisis, and then I got into reading, spent time with my family, and I watch, two-three films every day.”
