LOS ANGELES: Pop singer-songwriter Madison Beer and Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert have announced their engagement, sharing the news with fans through a joint social media post.
The couple revealed the engagement on Tuesday by posting photos from the proposal, including a picture of Herbert on one knee while presenting the ring. Beer shared the announcement with the caption, “Meet my fiancé.”
The engagement quickly drew attention online, with fans praising the couple’s milestone. Beer also displayed her diamond ring in the photographs, featuring what appeared to be a classic elongated cushion or old mine-cut diamond design.
While the ring’s details and value have not been officially confirmed by jewellery experts, reports based on available images estimate that the diamond could be worth between $400,000 and $1 million.

Beer, 27, and Herbert, 28, first sparked relationship rumours after being publicly spotted together in August 2025. Since then, the pair have made several public appearances, including at Los Angeles Chargers games, Dodgers and Lakers events.
Herbert has also supported Beer’s music career, attending her “Locket Tour” and appearing in her music video for the song “lovergirl” earlier this year. The video featured the couple sharing moments together on a beach.
The Los Angeles Chargers congratulated the couple on social media with the message “JH+MB 4EV,” while the NFL also shared a congratulatory message following the announcement.
Herbert, who is entering his seventh NFL season with the Chargers, is preparing for the upcoming campaign after signing a five-year, $262.5 million contract extension with the team in 2023.
The Chargers are scheduled to face the Houston Texans in their preseason opener on August 13 before beginning their regular season against the Arizona Cardinals on September 13.
Beer gained international recognition as a teenager after singer Justin Bieber shared a video of her performing Etta James’ classic song “At Last” in 2012. She released her debut single the following year and later earned Grammy nominations for her work as a singer-songwriter.
The engagement marks a new chapter for the couple as they continue their successful careers in the entertainment and sports industries.
