After a hopeful health update, King Charles III is set to embark on significant international tours in 2026.
Despite battling cancer since February 2024, the British monarch, alongside his wife Queen Camilla, will travel more than 15,000 miles, visiting destinations including the United States and the Caribbean.
Due to the need for weekly treatment, the King’s travel plans had been limited in recent months. However, last week, the 77-year-old monarch shared encouraging news about his health, revealing a reduction in his treatment regimen.
This announcement has sparked renewed optimism for his future engagements. A spokesperson for the King confirmed that Charles was “particularly pleased” his statement had been well-received and had “done some good.”
Looking ahead, King Charles is scheduled to visit the United States in April 2025 for a meeting with President Donald Trump. Later, in November 2026, he is set to attend the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in Antigua and Barbuda.
The biennial summit, which will be held from November 1–4, 2026, will bring together leaders from across the Commonwealth to discuss pressing global issues.
Earlier this year, King Charles traveled to Canada in May and Italy in October, marking his gradual return to international engagements.
The Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting will take place in St John’s, Antigua and Barbuda, and will gather heads of government, ministers, and representatives from various sectors to address key global matters. The summit rotates locations every two years among the member countries.
