China terminated many senior officials over handling the deadly spread of coronavirus. Deaths due to virus crossed 1,000.

Officials terminated from office included the Party Secretary for the Hubei Health Commission and the head of the commission.

The deputy director of the state’s Red Cross was also terminated for “dereliction of duty” over “handling of donations”.

The ruling communist party has also punished officials.

State media informed that deputy head of the Red Cross Zhang Qin was issued “a serious intra-Party warning as well as a serious administrative demerit”

The deputy head of the Wuhan bureau of statistics was also removed with a “serious intra-party warning a well as a serious administrative demerit for violating relevant regulations to distribute face masks”.

Authorities also removed the head of the health commission of Huanggang.

The death toll in overall China reaches 1,016 whereas 103 deaths were reported in Hubei province alone.

However, the number of new cases has gradually decreased in the country, from 3,062 to 2,478.

Chinese Ambassador to the United States Cui Tiankai has cautioned against fueling panic and spreading dangerous bioweapon rumors about the Coronavirus’ unknown origins.

Chinese Ambassador to the U.S. said it would be “absolutely crazy” to believe unsubstantiated rumors online while the entire global scientific community that is working day and night on the issue has yet to come a conclusion.

In Russia an increasing number of political commentators have to come to believe that the virus is a U.S. bioweapon ultimately directed at Russia.
